ROAD TEST CHECKLIST

 Bring EVERYTHING listed below (#1-6) for your On-The-Road Test. 

1.  All Adults & Teens need  : Texas Learners Permit with B restriction, with your photo on it, must not be expired!  Student needs to be 16 years old and have had a permit for 6 months, teens check your HOLD  date on the back of the permit. 

2. Bring $100, CASH ONLY, nonrefundable

3. (DE-964/PT or ADE):  "Texas Drivers Education Certificate"  If you are not sure what this is, let me know. 

4.  Teens only :  Practice Logs ; If you need copies of these logs, let me know and I will send blank ones to you with instructions on how to fill them out.

      Traditional Driving School Students,

      you will have 1 log :30-Hour Behind the wheel practice log 

      Parent Taught Program, you will have a 3 logs TOTAL                      

      #1,  30 Hour Log Behind the wheel                      

      #2,   32 hours of classroom work                       

     #3,  14 hours of driving, 7/7 behind the wheel for classroom.

5.  PRINTED proof of current liability insurance for a safe vehicle for your test   

-Show PRINTED proof of current liability insurance for vehicle, electronic insurance will not be accepted. (You can email your car insurance to our office in advance, and we will print it for you) 
-Student testing DOES NOT have to be listed on insurance
-Have a current inspection sticker/ registration up to date
-Two License plates (front/back) or temporary tags
-Working Horn 
-4 working turns signals and three working break lights.

* Don’t have a vehicle that meets requirements?  You can rent a vehicle for $50. Please let us know in advance.

6. IMPACT TEXAS CERTIFICATE   https://impacttexasdrivers.dps.texas.gov
ALL students MUST COMPLETE the online video class & print the certificate before you take a ROAD TEST

TEENS (under 18) will watch the BLUE video
ADULTS ( 18  99+) will watch the RED video

-When registering, please pick your DRIVING program that you completed.

* IMPACT Certificate  EXPIRES after 90 DAYS Once you complete the course, PLEASE PRINT the certificate IN GOOD QUALITY or email to me & I will print it for you.
The IMPACT certificate is required for all students of all ages. You can NOT do the ROAD Test without it.

Things to bring to DPS for your processing appointment: *VOE,  from your High School Attendance Office ( Under 18 only)* Social Security Card
